+1 Good suggestion!

And, maybe, put a age limit - MP candidates must be above 30 years of age. That's to force those lazy young f#$% to go out and get a real job rather than sitting in the beehive warming their a^&*&^

Exactly.

But if he wants a “Maori Nation” why not rename the Auckland Islands? Let me see, I’d suggest “The Island Nation of Maori” and he could be King. King Pita has a nice ring to it and I guess we could let him take his seat out of Parliament to use as a Throne.

We try to accommodate everyone. ;)

1327088 2013-02-08 21:14:00 I like the age limit in politics. It should be implemented worldwide in my view. I am not sure older politicians put the right emphasis in programming a future they won't see... Sanco (683)
1327089 2013-02-08 21:20:00 I all in favor of a 4 year term for central government but the problem is that the local polies will also do it and they are the worst trough feeders of all. 1 year is too much fore some of these money grabbers.. paulw (1826)
1327090 2013-02-08 21:34:00 I voted Labour over Maori party last election, can't seeing it be any different this time.
