"Back from the brink
Just weeks after having a 1.2km tumour removed, Sarah Christie will complete a fun run."

Wouldn't be too much left of her after that was removed. Maybe it will give her a 1.2km lead?

In the meantime, she is not deemed to have finished a race until all of her has passed the line.

We have some road signs in the Wairarapa put up by the Horizons Council stating 'pass school buses at 20km'. That is one hell of a detour to get past them.

Saw one on my way out to Tinui, haha. The thought of staying 20km away was tempting. Don't want a kid stuck to the radiator. They scratch the paint and cause engine trouble.

If only parents were made to park that far away and make the kids walk, we could then claim to have solved NZ obesity problem

Good one Gary. I thought walking to school was no big deal when I was a kid.

Me too and cycled the 10Km to senior school most days if I didn't catch the bus

1326876 2013-02-07 20:37:00 I thought nothing of walking 12 Km to primary school after I missed the bus by a bird's nest diversion.

Against all mathematical rules, I think even less of the practice today. ;)

1326877 2013-02-07 21:38:00 Running for the bus to Tech kept me fit. I went to a school reunion a few years back. We were all loaded on a bus to go to an event. One of the girls mentioned that it was just like old times - the only thing missing was Bob running for the bus. Bobh (5192)
