1326320 2013-02-04 00:16:00 Police said the woman was not well known nationally and does not play a mainstream sport.

Which begs the question: "Why the special treatment?"

But there are lots of hints there - come on sleuths: woman, Hawkes Bay, non-mainstream sport, and
reached an "exceptional level" in her sport

Speculate!

(On second thoughts, probably not a good idea to speculate, unless you wish to have the steely gaze of the moderators turned on you! :D)

1326321 2013-02-04 00:28:00 I would welcome a challenge by the police. If nothing else it should send a message to the judiciary they too can be held accountable. WalOne (4202)

1326325 2013-02-04 04:04:00 Its amazing seeing that how all these Border Patrol programs show people being refused entry to NZ or Aussie because of various convictions.

And everyone should know you can't get a US green card if you have even a maraujana conviction.

So the morale is don't do the crime.

That is so totally un PC Digby suggesting that people dont do crime. Couldnt you say it in a more sensitive way?
