You don't have to put any particular reference in the shipping forwarder, or even "attn Joanne Lee", it still works, they just match the tracking number up... $20 to forward to NZ. I am a big advocate for removable everything, but the price to pay for the extremely thin/light options is integrated everything. >_< Have had problems with an ASUS ZenBook before which had no user removable battery (at least not glued on like the MBA, but since it was under warranty, I wouldn't open it). That was a pain. Had to send it away twice, first time to drain/reset the battery, 2nd time to replace the motherboard. So I am well aware of the peril of all integrated systems. I have to have my laptop handy all the time, as I am pretty much on call all the time, so the portability and diminutive size of the Pro 11 is what I am after. Also it can fit nicely in pretty much all hotel safes, I had a 11" VAIO TZ37 before, so I know, this is like half of the TZ37 in volume and weight. The Zenbook and MBA feel like a bloody brick compare to the Vaio Pro 11, go handle one, it is unbelievably light. |
