| 1350208 | 2013-07-31 01:07:00 | I only paid $250 for it. Reselling on trademe for more could get me a bit more cash, plus any I have saved up, for a larger future upgrade? Is it worth it? |

Only exception is if you play at very high resolutions or on multiple monitors or if you get a really cheap deal on a 2nd card. My reasoning is this; Firstly to run a single card it has to be good enough for what you are doing now, by the time it's no longer good enough something newer and better is probably available for not much more than a 2nd older card will cost you. Also many people who spend a lot of money on graphics cards seem to expect most of it back when they sell them - not the best deal for 2nd hand buyers. Then there's the expense of a beefier PSU to run two graphics cards and the additional heat to deal with. And lastly because X-fire or SLI doesn't always work. Some games don't benefit and others have stability issues. |

I already have a probably overkill PSU (750W) and considering I got a pretty good deal on the card in the first place, I would probably get back most of my spendings. Considering it is brand new I won't upgrade anytime soon as this system will get the performance that I want. Thanks! |
