1327044 2013-02-08 05:50:00 An absolute waste of time and money.

Everything they need to know they can find out anyway and I don’t know anyone who tells the truth.

If they ever checked their answer against their tax returns they’d have a fit and I get sick of my mates changing religion. I seem to be surrounded by Maori Muslims.

I’m afraid far to many treat it as a joke for it to be of any worthwhile use these days, but I guess it keeps people in useless jobs.

How are they meant to find out what they need to know without spending time and/or money?

If you're surrounded by Maori Muslims and don't like it, perhaps get some new friends.

1327045 2013-02-08 05:56:00 Normally, yes. But due to the size (probably about 5 million submissions) and due to the fact people are lazy, if you give them a week they'll spread themselves out. The Error Guy (14052)

+1 and I have heard that some of the census people will fill in forms if they haven't been completed.

1327048 2013-02-19 00:33:00 Stupid census website wont accept the most Christian of browsers - Opera. While I could use a more heathen browser Chrome or IE I think I will turn atheist and fill it out by hand and the collector may be lucky enough to catch us at home to collect it. tutaenui (1724)
1327049 2013-02-19 00:45:00 The online is a bloody joke.

Had one trying to deliver papers last night - the dog was going nuts and she wouldn't come up to the gate, or go around to the front door AND it was right on dinner time

I told her we would do them on line -- Her response was you have to have a form first to do them on line. WTF!!

All the time the dogs going apeshit barking - she said she would come back later - Bye - I smiled :)

1327050 2013-02-19 00:50:00 You have to get the forms as one of the forms you get which is sealed has your own unique access code for you to enter too be able to do it on line. Cannot see why people are so paranoid about this.

1327051 2013-02-19 00:55:00 That's the stupid part about it, online is meant to be quicker, but if people aren't home, or work at the times they deliver these forms they wont get them, so the online option still wont work. Someone will be here all day, bet they don't come back till later this evening, if at all.

Its understandable about the access codes so someone doen't fill out forms multi times, but setting it up is a joke.

1327052 2013-02-19 01:06:00 This has got to be the year of the Jedi. We got pretty close last census Greven (91)
1327053 2013-02-19 06:36:00 Yeah, the lady who dropped off forms today said "if you know where you'll be on the night, you can do it online beforehand".

Which kind of makes a nonsense of their historical bollox about everyone having to have one for evening X, wherever they may be.

There will be many people who submit early online, only to have their circumstances see them elsewhere on the Tuesday... and it's not worth the fuss to report it being any different.

Gotta love the printers job - printing more paper than ever before, only to have two thirds of it never get used... but then again, this is a govt department funding all this, so you've got to expect bollox and excesses.
