1326619 2013-02-05 03:00:00 Australia Day - the whole country does not band together. All white Australians do.
You think we're bad, Australia is a nasty racist country.

Although I agree, that bloody woman, no-one had the guts to remove her, she even violates their own rules. Kick her crutches out from under her and shove her in the back room....let that other one do it.
I disagree and I am at one with what the majority of White Australians think of race relations. They are right NZ is wrong we pander to other races they sure dont do that in Oz. That lady should just be arrested and jailed for breaching the peace.

1326620 2013-02-05 03:08:00 Every day it's less and less of "NZ" and more and more of NZ + The Maori"

NZ is made up of Chinese, Thais, Vietnamese, Irish, Britts, Scotts, French and god knows what else. I appreciate they sailed across the sea and all that, but 100 years on I think we should all just do that, move on. These fights are ridiculous.

1326622 2013-02-05 03:22:00 After this year Waitangi day is to be renamed Maori Bitching Day. We should do a New Zealand day on say March 6 instead. Loved seeing the once were Maori Warriors attaching each other on TV news last nite.. paulw (1826)
1326623 2013-02-05 03:41:00 Yeah and considering the Maori make up 15% vs Asian making up 9% and some 7% of the population are Pacifika (2006), you'd think they'd realize they're not the only "ethnic minority" and get their act together before the whole damn country just gives up on them. Have you ever been to Australia?

I have, if anything they're more racist towards Kiwis than they are the Aboriginals. That said, more Australians as a percentage are likely to be patriotic and celebrate Australia Day or Americans celebrate Independance Day than Kiwis celebrate Waitangi day. Basically the majority of people just don't care and find the whole day to be a sham.

1326626 2013-02-05 04:57:00 Political parties are too scared to say "no" lest they lose that all important maori vote.

An awful lot of people including close friends see it that way too but I don’t.

I believe that if a Party had a policy whereby if you qualified to vote or hold a NZ Passport you were a New Zealander and your colour class or creed was of no interest, then I think they would pick up heaps of votes including Maori.

The Conservatives seem to have some traction after last election and I think such a policy could be a Trump Card. I know I’m not the only one who has had a guts full of the separatist and down right racist policies alive and well in this country at the moment.

There are after all over a million eligible voters who abstained from voting last election, plus the swingers, so they are there for the having.

Lead Trumps Conservatives, for many a man walked down Piccadilly with the bum out of his pants for not. (Old Euchre and 500 expression) ;)

Those who didn't vote shouldn't have any right to complain how the country is run.
