| 1349793 | 2013-07-25 05:25:00 | Wanting a few for the number plate lights, park lights and interior light in the corolla, however there are so many out there, it's hard to tell what is decent and what is just cheap rubbish. Does anyone know of something good? I'm looking at something like this (ledstuff.co.nz)at the moment...thanks. |

| 1349795 | 2013-07-28 00:35:00 | Replacing incandescent bulbs with LED's doesn't necessarily make the light non WOF compliant. Provided the colour remains basically the same, they are replaced in pairs, and are not excessively bright there should not be a problem getting a WOF. Fitting blue LED's to the front park lights would cause a problem. LED's fitted to stop/tail lamps need to light up the whole red lens similar to the original bulb. Not good if they have a very bright centre spot and the rest of the lens is dull. Have heard reports that you should fit red LED's to stop/tail lamps to avoid this. I will have to look into this soon as my car blows stop light bulbs on a semi regular basis, and they are a pig to change. My suggestion would be to buy a pair and try them. |

| 1349797 | 2013-07-28 01:37:00 | Possible reasons for bulbs blowing are alternator overcharging, or bad voltage rectification (getting AC in yer DC), or mechanical stress (vibration, maybe caused by lowered/stiffened suspension (your car in your avatar photo?)). Wratt, try Repco or BnT. |

Caused by the focal point of the reflector not being matched to the bulb (being designed for the incandescent bulb filament). |

| 1349799 | 2013-07-28 08:13:00 | I put in LED park lights as I upgraded the fog/driving lights to Phillips Arctic White or something like that as I drive with them on all the time The original park lights were a insipid yellow with LED park lights installed had a slight blue tinge but match the driving lights,had them queried at Warrant time After 3 of them looked at them they deemed it passed Anything that looks like Blue will not pass a Warrant |

Talk about FUD. Unless the LED bulb directly causes whatever you claim insurance then they can't turn down the claim. If you slam into the back of someone with no WOF and the crash is not caused by an item that would have failed, they can't turn that down either. |
