1326434 2013-02-04 04:17:00 Called a t-nut, but none of the local NZ sites (TM, mitre 10, etc) seem to call it that (or stock them)
en.wikipedia.org

so do any of you know what it's called and/or where to get it?

1326435 2013-02-04 04:30:00 Definitely called a T nut for wood, try searching fastener suppliers, here's one:

www.edlfast.co.nz

Cicero may also know where to get them.

Edit: you can also get them without the prongs, with just holes in the flange, and you nail them on, used by furniture makers.
