190661 2003-11-10 10:56:00 I need to know the crash statistics of a 1994 Subaru Legacy GT-Turbo Wagon.

Where can I get this info from.
I need to know
-speeds
-conditions
-damage
-injury & fatality

or failing that good or bad.

I have tried searching google for it but had no idea what to put or anything. Does anyone know what to search for/a site that contains this information/the crash statisics for this vehicle.

cheers.

190663 2003-11-10 12:57:00 Sorry I don't Google well enough yet to help there, but you'll find crash tests of later model Subarus at www.ltsa.govt.nz/vehicle-safety/ancap/subaru.html
Hope it gives you a start, anyway...maybe keyword links?

190665 2003-11-10 18:55:00 At 190kph I wouldn't be worrying about stats for specific models, take my word for it, unless he's a trained driver, has the car specially kitted out, and only drives at these speeds on a suitable track, he is in the far,far end of the red zone.( rhymes with ded). 190666 2003-11-10 19:13:00 You want the crash statistics for that car.... in what country?? Put "crash statisitics subaru" into Google and follow some of those links. One is here (www.hwysafety.org) but I have not checked for the car and model you are wanting info on. Susan B (19)

I think hamstar want actual road crash statistics first and foremost, followed by test-crash data if he can't get the real thing. I think some actual crash statistics are available on US websites. Add Ralph Nader to your search and see what that brings up.

From what I remember of Subaru crash tests, the older models (pre 98/99) did not always fare well and the addition of a turbo to the equation is a warning sign.

Unless your mate is a very skilled and careful driver, and the vehicle is in good condition vis-a-vis tires, brakes, seatbelts etc I would stay out of it, especially if alcohol is involved.

A turbo Subaru can do zero to mortuary in around 15 seconds. :|
