just curious - using MS-WORD at work and froze - warm booted a coupla times then message on BSOD re stack files - recently, somewhere, had read that the way to increase stack files was to make an entry in system.ini at "386Enh" - "MinSP = 4" or multiples of - so did so but made it 8, rebooted, and wadda you know! all seems well again - my question(s) is - what are stack files? - what did i do in sys.ini? and did it really work? - and as an aside, the entry is no longer in "386Enh" but in "BOOT" - ???? |
