OK, well I use Firebird rather than Mozilla because I use Eudora for email and do not need the email client feature of Mozilla. Why install extra when it will not be used?

I love Firebird. :x

Mozilla Firebird is smaller, faster and it looks better than the Mozilla browser.

What features are you referring to? To be honest, I can't really see a difference feature-wise.

Agreed. Isnt half the code from Mozilla from Netscrape? And we know how badly NS6 went.. :-(
Firebird is a new browser built from scratch :-)

Firebird has a popup stopper, I've not seen that in Mozilla (Although admittedly I havent used Mozilla enough to find out if its blocking them or not).

Im sure there's some sort of a features comparison page on Mozilla.org?

190358 2003-11-11 00:32:00 Mozilla has the ability to easily switch into an offline mode. More of the options are available in the preferences as opposed to haxing them up in about:config.

I use Firebird for forums, with cookies enabled. Mozilla for all other web browsing with cookies being turfed out at the end of the session.

So are you saying it is a good idea to download and use Mozilla but not install the mail/news client? What on earth for??!

Isn't that what Firebird is all about - a browser without all the extras one does not use or need?? I could be wrong but I thought that is why it is only half the download and install size of its big brother . . . .

190360 2003-11-11 01:55:00 Well you never mentioned download size, only the installation stuff :-P

If I was going to stick with just one, at the moment it would be Mozilla due to its tight integration with the mail client.

190361 2003-11-11 04:44:00 I use Outlook for Email anyway, but i keep the Mozilla Mail Installed Anyway, because with todays 120gb Hard Drives, one does not need to delete anything ntddevsys (987)
