| 190639 | 2003-11-10 08:09:00 | Hi all, OS is Win98, when trying to dial xtra - get error message, unable to connect to network, error 605. sometimes in the morning i get a connection, but only once. checked - password etc ok. wonder if modem or phone line faulty? thanx for any ideas |

| 190642 | 2003-11-10 09:13:00 | First thing to do is delete your dialup connection and setup a new one My Computer/Dialup networking - right click the dialup connection and remove. Double click on Make new connection and follow the wizard. Enter the complete Extra dialup phone number in the phone number box When the new connection is in Dialup Networking right click on it and select Properties Remove the tick from the box Use area code/dialing properties Click on Server Types at the top and remove tick from - 1 Logon to network 2 NetBeui 3 IPX/SPX and click OK Right click the connection icon and Create Shortcut Close dialup Networking and double click on the shortcut on your desktop Enter Username and Password in the boxes Click on Connect to dialin and save Username and Password in the new dialup connection |
