191062 2003-11-11 23:16:00 I tried using an old Windows 95 boot disk to boot into dos, so I can format. But it won't let me, says "invalid drive specification", which i guess is because my hdd is NTFS. I have formatted once before but I can't remember how i did it! can anyone help? tango (2697)
191063 2003-11-11 23:20:00 Boot directly to your WinXP CD, then choose the option to do a clean install. Then it will give you an option to format your hard drive.

Otherwise a program like Partition Magic would probably do the trick (although I've never personally used it).

Use MS FDISK to remove the non-DOS partition(s), repartition, restart and then format.
