| 190816 | 2003-11-11 02:19:00 | 52.16 is out. I downloaded them last week after reading this article. It has the technical reasons why this version makes such an improvment. www.extremetech.com I can go back to bridge commander now. |

It does appear, however, that this release is specifically for the FX range of cards (am I wrong?), so probably won't work with GF2-4 etc. I'm having a bit more of a read elsewhere to findout. Mike. |

| 190818 | 2003-11-11 02:43:00 | yep, that's wrong. Gforce, FX and TNT2 all share the same drivers and driver benefits. I'm running a TNT2 on a 500mhz machine and so I'm always skeptical. It made a difference. |

| 190820 | 2003-11-11 03:14:00 | The early 50.xx drivers did have bad effects for a few people (I know someone in a lan club with some stories). The idea is to stay away from versions 50.xx up to 52.16 but 52.16 are good. Since I got bitten bad with the 7.0 release of directX. I make a point of reading reviews and user opinions first. Appart from mobile chipsets, the riva and riva 128 aren't supported. |

They weren't that appreciative - and they weren't talking about earlier releases, they were talking about the 52.16 (as that's what the review was about). Mike. |

| 190822 | 2003-11-11 04:30:00 | Hi Guys WARNING These drivers are optimised for DX9 games. OpenGL games still have performance issues. For example, games like Homeworld 2 still do not benefit from these drivers. I say again - DX9 optimised. If you have DX9 games, I recommend these drivers. For openGL games I would stick with 44.03 drivers. nVidia is working on OGL optimisations hopefully for the next release. Rev Species 116 |
