2003-11-14 08:31:00 | The $10 unlimited texting for "free" goes until the end of this year, then it costs $10 for as many texts as you like and your account is actually debited for this $10. | agent (30) | |

That doesn't make sense!? At the moment they charge you $10 as the maximum possible charge for text messaging - all you've said is the same thing worded differently. To the best of my knowledge the promotion ends on 31 December 2003 and charges resume as normal at 20c per message. Of course all the people that have bought a new $300 handset will be reluctant to lose that money and change back to Vodafone so will stay with Telecom, which I assume was the plan all along. |

2003-11-14 08:56:00 | yeah thats now...but if u got ur phone in october its free completely free no costs at all for every text until 31st october..but if u brought it at any other time like september or this month then its $10 per month unlimited.. its been a bit of a confusing promotion by telecom, promoting $10 unlimited texting then they threw in free texting till 31st december then $10 unlimited after that, but that stopped at the end of october and now they promoting $10 unlimited texting... so yeah

2003-11-14 17:36:00 | Chris is right, If you upgraded or switched within a specific time period then you get FREE texting until end of year . Then 2004 you go onto the standard for ALL 027 and that is $10 capped per month for unlimited texting . This promo is indefinite, I have not seen any end date as of yet . sam m

2003-11-14 20:21:00 | Don't see how my statement was confusing; it was the truth. For people who switched to Telecom in September or October, they get free texting until the end of the year; however, there is a stupid rule that you have to have as much credit on your account as the number of texts you send - or something like that. Then at the beginning of next year, it's still $10 for as many texts as you like, but you actually get debited that $10, instead of just having your account full of money but not going down. *Sigh*

2003-11-14 20:49:00 | Sam is right. If you trade in an 021/025/029 Cell, its fre til the end of the year (Effectively saving you $20.. think about it). From there its back to $10 per month unlimited. They have forecasted it'll be going til at least Dec 2004, but at this rate its likely to become a permanent thing (I had a contact in Telecom.. Spoke to him before I bought mind a month back.. I couldnt be happier!).
