If you can't then it is most likely a Cookie problem

If your date, time or year is incorrect on your computer this can affect the way cookies are handled.

191904 2003-11-16 05:09:00 it looks like i cannot enter any secure sites (i just tried to go to my telecom and it wouldn't work)
what do i do about the cookies?

Internet Explorer go to Tools\Internet Options

1/ On the General tab press "Delete Files" then tick "Delete All Offline Content" then press "OK". Now press "Delete Cookies" then "OK".
2/ On the Security tab press "Default Level" then press "Apply"
3/ On the Privacy tab (IE6 only) press "Default" then press "Apply" and OK

Sounds like Nortons Internet Security to me.. Do you have or have you had any Firewall or Internet Suite software installed on you PC?

done this....DID NOT WORK
never had norton internet security suite, nor a firewall.

Check Cipher Strength is showing 128 bit.

latest installs were cache sentry and fast defrag2 and skype but these were a while before the problem occured and the friend I got them from doesnt have the same problem
