| 192102 | 2003-11-15 03:38:00 | I've heard worse stories. One person stands in front of his car while after ordering takeaways, goes inside to pickup order after the 10secs I received a fine and the guy just walks off .... We were in a restaurant and we put in like 45mins in the metre. The metre was coin operated. A person happened to be in the restaurant as well told us, we better move the car as the tyre was marked. He mentions they don't care how much money u put in they will mark it and ticket is 10min after each ... Sometimes I wonder why do I bother putting in money... |

| 192103 | 2003-11-15 04:05:00 | It was standard practice when I worked at Joseph Lucas's main factory in Birmingham and there was only street parking, for an apprentice to go along and clean off the chalk marks that over zealous cops had put on tyres . This was in the 1950s for goodness sake when traffic was minimal . Even worse the road between the factories on either side was regarded as 'belonging' to Joe Lucas . The buildings had always been linked by a brick structure bridge . It was a bit of fun really . |
