191794 2003-11-14 01:59:00 This is kinda an offshoot from my " OT:- WarDriving in Auckland." (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz) thread...

Anyways, there is an online database of mapped wireless devices at http://www.wigle.net, and they have a mapping client (DiGLE) which shows the wireless devices on a map, however there are no NZ maps for it (from what I can see anyways), so I have made a couple or Auckland map packs (Greater Auckland and the CBD) which work with the DiGLE software, and though some of you guys might like to take a look.

Simply download netstumbler.orcon.net.nz extract it and run the Digle.exe application.

Enjoy :)

As I mentioned earlier, it's kind of watertight. I first tried a trial copy of another organisation's - ended up buying it from the Rotorua firm.

191798 2003-11-14 04:23:00 An updated version with a couple of more maps is now available from the above url, not that there’s much more too see the only plotted wireless devices are in AK, (bar one in the sea near Golden Bay, which I would not know anything about ;):D).

Cheers

Can you output/export large files, like say a 100mb picture of the North Island? Or rather can you export any images from it?

Cheers
