192451 2003-11-16 06:38:00 Nathen there's an Open Surce office suite called OpenOffice that is freely available to download and install on any number of machines you like. It doesn't have any form of activation and did I mention it's free? mark.p (383)

Hey... I resemble that :p

Well said Mark, and the latest (Open Office 1.1) is a real winner in my books. I downloaded the Final build for Doze and Linux and couldnt be happier!!

Its only about a 70MB Download, or if you want it on a CD, send me an email:

192453 2003-11-16 07:58:00 Just out of curiosity?

Is there a programme like Open Office that is like Word 2002 or something like..

Just a word processing programme - so i don't have to use Publisher 98 or WordPad :)

192455 2003-11-16 08:06:00 Or, if you dont need a full suite of Office tools, try AbiWord :-) Chilling_Silently (228)
192456 2003-11-17 17:02:00 Like everybody has said in previous posts Microsoft won't be to happy with you using illegal copies of office. There are many freeware office suites available from many download suites, here are a few available from http://www.tucows.com this site offers shareware, freeware and demos.

Here are a few of the freeware office suites.

Openoffice.org (63.5mb)

602PCSuite 4.0 (21.5mb)

Easyoffice (85.7mb)

Budgie 1.6 (5.9mb)

This is a sure better way of getting software if your budget is tight. Also keeps you from getting in trouble with Microsoft etc.
