192811 2003-11-18 07:10:00 Hi,

I'm sitting the MS 70-216 exam tomorrow and was trying to find out what the actual pass mark, percentage wise was.

Am currently looking on the net, no-luck thus far....

Can anyone assist please??

Thanks.

192813 2003-11-18 09:59:00 If its adaptive, my experance with Novel's (I know he said Microsoft :))adaptive testing is it will continue untill
1. You have passed and no futher testing is needed
2. Failed beyound the point of no return

Also Novel adaptive tests gauge the reponse to question ie incorrect answer will get you a easier next question based on the same subject objective but also a lower point value for that question. Get a string of them right you pass or the questions get harder until you do (pass) oh the harder the question the higher point value (if you get it correct)

192814 2003-11-18 10:52:00 Hi Guy's....

All i really wanted to know is if anyone knows what Microsofts Pass Marks are for their exams in %....

As for the adaptive thing, to the best of my knowledge, MS don't use adaptive testing as I have just completed the 70-215 Win2K Server and that wasen't adaptive....

The only adaptive exams I've done is the A+ Hardware & Software, but CompTIA have now moved away from adaptive testing also.....

Thanks...

Not quite, they just recently(a couple months ago)updated the questions for the qualifications,Then for the first couple months they drop the adaptive tests untill enough people have sat the new tests to give comptia enough data on what questions are easy and whch are hard, then they use this data to calculate the scores on the new adaptive tests.

Which are probally being implemented as we speak,or as i type, whatever.

192818 2003-11-19 07:44:00 Oh...also passed the 70-216 exam today, must admit thought it was quite hard, never mind a pass is a pass I suppose, onto the next one...MCSA here i come! Darcy (1040)
192819 2003-11-19 07:47:00 Thanks dude,

Great site, will keep it as a handy ref for my next ones.
Only thing is that it gives what the pass mark is but not what it is out of...or a percentage....one of the chaps at work reckons all the Microsoft ones leading to MCSE 2000 are 60%.....any one any different?

Thanks again!
