| 192725 | 2003-11-17 09:13:00 | Hi, i just spent the afternoon downloading Open Office 1.10 or whatever. Now when i went to un-zip it there were LOTS of files that were "Bad CRC" bad CRC 1e6f0b2d (should be a1d56ee6) to be exact and also this error Error in file #129: bad Zip file offset (Error local header signature not found): disk #1 offset 16969670 <- that number changes also after all that i click on setup and A required .DLL file, SET645MI.DLL was not found I used DAP (download accelerator plus) to download - i downloaded off the Australian Mirrors (Planet Mirror and pacific.net) So i take it my download was corrupt |

| 192727 | 2003-11-17 09:41:00 | Bad CRC means its corrupt, sorry :-( The one on the Nov CD, I believe Bruce said was RC 5.. And apparently there's only one bugfix and a different splash screen :-) I agree that this build seems faster too :-) Try re-downloading it of get it off the Nov PCW CD as Beetle said :-) Cheers Chill. |

If it does multiple segments etc, try turning them off. There are RSYNC mirrors for openoffice so it is possible to repair the download provided have access to a linux system, or can find a windows version. |

| 192729 | 2003-11-17 18:48:00 | OKay, i downloaded from a different site, this downloads okay and unzips alright, but when i go and click on setup.exe - the progress bar goes all the way to the end, that little setupy thing disappears the comp thinks about thinking and then it locks up. This also happens on the file from Nov CD (PC World) |

| 192730 | 2003-11-17 18:59:00 | Sounds like a conflict to me. I'm wondering if the previous corrupted download left traces of itself somewhere and is upsetting this new download, but that's a bit farfetched. |

| 192731 | 2003-11-18 00:53:00 | well ya see, the installation dialog never comes up..its that box "un-packed" with a progress bar, it gets to the end of it closes and then locks up like 30 seconds later, i tried to force the computer to work by loading a programme as it reached the end of the progress bar but it still didnt work.
