no ping 127.0.0.1 (loop back test) -after all how do you know pressF1 is working at the time. you should get 4 packets back on a windows machine. If you get an error tcp\ip is not properly installed

actually this could take a while going step by step -I'm referring to the microsoft trouble shooting guide on this (used so often its burnt on my brain. I'll find its url and post it.

if you have gone through this at least twice very slowly following the instructions completely. then the only solution i have found was to reinstall the os after deleting the C:\windows dir.

192650 2003-11-20 10:22:00 Well ....after all that lot ..we installed windows 98 over top of everything and wella! all go . took 40minutes all go ... well thanks guys for the help
