| 192785 | 2003-11-18 01:28:00 | Following on from being given this link (www.trademe.co.nz), my virus scanner, Avast, appears to have detected a virus, Trident TPE 1.4. I opened the window in IE, and refreshed it four times to be sure, and it picked it up all four times. However, opening the page in FireBird does not result in an alert from Avast. If you have an up to date virus scanner, can you please verify that there is a virus, however, I request that you only do so if you are confident it will be picked up and removed. The item in concern is an ad, located at the top right of the page, this ad (www.trademe.co.nz) to be precise. The virus scanner only picks up the image as being the virus, but I don't know how you'd get a virus to be executed by displaying an image. |
