| 192637 | 2003-11-17 07:37:00 | Does their machine dial? Check if it does, if not, manually dial through Dial-up Networking. Can they get other web-sites? Check and see. Is there something special about that site (secure anything like that)? Do they have a firewall? Try disabling it. More info will be required, or we could all stab blindly all night |

| 192639 | 2003-11-17 10:39:00 | Get yourself a copy of Spybot Search & Destroy, from spybot.info This will kill off any Spyware that may be preventing this. Firstly, open a command window and type: ping 210.48.100.45 This is PressF1, if you get it back, its all good then and your connection is working. Please post back and let us know it's ping'ing that IP. next, type: ping pressf1.co.nz If it comes back with an error message, you know that its a DNS Server problem and you need to specify your DNS Server. If it comes back fine, it's likely an IE problem so try another browser temporarily! Next, in the Dial-Up Connection Properties (I use Linux so cant remember exactly where it is.. Just look around) there's an option to specify an IP address and a DNS Server. On Win98 to get to this, right-click on Network Neighbourhood and choose Properties and IIRC you can edit the Dial-Up settings from there. Specify your DNS servers, but not your IP Address. Use the following for DNS Servers: 202.27.184.3 202.27.184.5 See if that helps. Does Email work? I would think from what you've told us it wouldnt? Cheers Chill. |

| 192641 | 2003-11-17 19:25:00 | Suspect spyware, have a look in Add/Remove programs for New.net or Save Now. I suppose you have checked the obvious and do not have proxy server selected in Tool/Internet options/Connections/Settings |
