| 193365 | 2003-11-20 09:15:00 | How can you get rid of this cursed thing if your computor reboots every minute in windows??? All the files I've downloaded only run under XP..nothing in dos... 1 minute ain't enough to stop it. I only see it briefly under 'processes' ... not quick enough to 'stop process' is there a virus boot program??? I suspect it is also on my 2nd hard drive as well (Disconnected) I've checked out Microsoft site not much help if you only have 1 Minute!!!! | mcjelly (3439) | ||
| 193366 | 2003-11-20 09:21:00 | most antivirus sites give quite good instructions. one another non-infected pc download the antivirus tool and the patch from ms, burn em to cd. take the cd to your pc and run the antivirus, then install the patch. |

| 193373 | 2003-11-20 10:02:00 | found it Shutdown -a Click Start|Run and enter the command. You can also delay the shutdown by turning the clock one hour back. You have to turn the clock back when the shutdown message appears. This is especially useful on the NT/2000 platforms where the shutdown command is not available. copy and pasted from www.norman.com |

| 193374 | 2003-11-20 10:13:00 | My experience with msblaster is it only shuts down in 1 min when your on the internet. I have contracted msblaster 3 times because i play with lots of new comps which have not been patched. the way i have learnt to deal with it is: when comp first starts up run msconfig i.e start run type msconfig ok go to startup tab uncheck msblaster.exe you may also see a line that says run=xxx uncheck it also. restart the comp. search using windows search for msblast delete it. make sure a firewall is on even the winxp one. go to windows update and apply the kb823980 security fix/patch. that should be right as rain and if you wish search for msblaster fix or fixblaster in google and run the tool it will rid you of any blaster probs if left. goodluck and i hope this works for you |
