| 193011 | 2003-11-18 23:00:00 | Hi, Two years ago I downloaded and installed scrabble- it was free of attempted embargos by lawyers( came courtesy of KaZaa- and took 9 hours on my 56 k modem) It has played perfectly except two days ago - everything connects as it sets up for a game but the Scrabble letters are missing to be able to play-- I ascertained there were missing files- so decided to delete and re install. Problem- the add/remove program as well as the straight out "delete"- come up with "recyle bin format invalid" I downloaded a separate add / remove program - and it is no better.---Scrabble is NOT showing in "programs" but a search brings it up- saying it is in fact in programs Can somebody tel me how to remove everything prior to re install. I am unable to get rid of this - everything else is OK - but the fact that it is there- freezes the CD installation ( I even tried a separate install- and the puta just froze! effie c |

What if you manually deleted the registry entries referring to the program, and then tried reinstalling direclty over the top of your current corrupt instalation? | somebody (208) | ||
| 193013 | 2003-11-18 23:36:00 | Hi Somebody, Yes I have cleaned out those reg files- that is what fascinates me- I used reg cleaner which displays- and did display Scrabble- I removed them and assumed I had removed Scrabble- no way Jose- Someone suggested I use DOS - yeah! me? :-) Anyway seriously could you state what I have to do - and my friends will once again tell me to stop "fiddling" but it is irriatating the hell out of me- This add/remove download should have independently done the job BUT when applied says it can't find Scrabble" and it is as always there- it is almost as though tjheoriginalk was loaded behind the back of the puta ;-) effie c |
