193563 2003-11-21 02:43:00 I'm running WinXP and IE 6.0 but find that when I am on line and have downloaded a page in IE I see the page Ok but get a "Errors on Page" message and find some irregularlity in page layout. I have reinstalled IE and checked all Options and settings but cant get rid of these error messages. An example would be Error Line 174 Char 2 Error"menuSubDivs" is undefined. Code 0 URL xtra.co.nz
This problem along with "hollow connections" is frustrating me. Any help appreciated.

193564 2003-11-21 02:57:00 Most such errors are reported because there are errors in the code for the page. :D That one looks as if it's actually Java (or something) code, rather than simple html code. If you have the appropriate version of Java, there's nothing you can do (unless you can break into the site), except turn off any options which offer to "debug" script errors. That will reduce the annoyance. Graham L (2)

You cannot do any thing about that :(, some one at Xtra has stuff up the website, that is why you are getting that error message.

You could try e-mailing them & telling them about it

And just ignore those messages as well

193566 2003-11-21 18:36:00 Thanks for that info. I have emailed Xtra but they dont want to know as I am not an Xtra customer.
How do I check on turning off script debugging?

193567 2003-11-21 20:41:00 Trying to get all web authors to "correct" their web pages is a tall ask .

You need to consider that it may only show as an error when using specific browsers, or specifically configured browsers, so in theory its not always an "error" per se in the view of the web designer .

To disable error reporting go (in IE) Tools - Internet Options - Advanced - tick "disable script debugging" and untick "display a notification about every script error" .

193569 2003-11-22 20:33:00 You might need to reinstall Java for IE
Also to isolate the problem check or disable any firewall you have installed and disable antivirus and any popup stopper you have which could also cause this error.
