193546 2003-11-21 01:01:00 Can any one help me set up file sharing with 2 Mandrake 9.1 machines connected to each other through a switch??
Cheers

193547 2003-11-21 01:16:00 Possibly the easiest way (for the Windows familiar) is to set up SAMBA on both machines, and arrange for the shared directories.

The best way is the *nix-native method ... NFS. There will be a HOWTO in the documentation area.

193549 2003-11-21 06:50:00 There is a web based interface running on port 901. You can get to it either by running K-Menu -> Configuration -> Network -> samba configuration.

Or put "http://localhost:901" into your browser.

And have you tried K3b or CDBakeOven for CD-R/W'ing?!
