if you have SiSoft Sandra it can create a large tmp file during use that remains afterwards.

i actually unistalled the prigram and the file still remains. mine was 550MB.

was on root of C: so windows clean manager (disk cleanup) didn't find it.

i fully realise that its safe to delete and did so before wrote my original post.

193509 2003-11-21 22:24:00 I don't know what SiSoft Sandra is but what about having a largish Ramdisk and directing .temp & .tmp files to ram (if you can spare the space). Windows .tmp files should not be redirected as some may be required at boot-up.
