193481 2003-11-20 22:19:00 Yeah, guess I could look thru the manual but Press F1 is probably quicker and friendlier. If I put a whole lot of photos onto a CD RW disk...say half full, does that mean I can later on add more files to the existing ones on the disk or does writing more to a part used CD RW simply over-write any existing information? oggy (1250)
193482 2003-11-20 22:37:00 As long as you didn't "close" the session on the disk, then you should be able to add more onto it. somebody (208)
193483 2003-11-20 22:38:00 Only if you STARTED a Multisession CD, and are CONTINUEING a Multisession CD.

Are you using Nero Burning ROM or Roxio's CD Creator?

Its a LOT easier in Nero, but in Roxio's theres an option somewhere in the toolbars to Select a Session to Continue.

Dont Finalize the CD either or that'll Fully Finish it so you cant write to it again.

Hope this helps

193484 2003-11-20 22:45:00 Since you have used a CDRW disc, if it won't let you add more to it, just copy what's on it now to your HDD then erase the CDRW disc.
Then burn original data plus whatever else you wanted to add :)

Make sure that you don't close the session (Roxio) or make sure you select Allow more files to be added later (Multisession) (Nero)

193486 2003-11-21 00:01:00 By "Fully Finish it" I assume you mean that you can't add to it. Even when you finalise a CDRW, you can still erase it and start again. somebody (208)
193487 2003-11-21 00:15:00 I like your answers Peter H. Quick, correct and to the point. aroc (3256)
193488 2003-11-21 02:29:00 Ahhh, not InCD!!

Not for me anyway.

For some reason, after formatting with InCD, I cannot fit more than 300mb on a 700mb cdrw. It is insane, and a real pain.

I am trying to back up a 380mb file, usning InCD, but when it is about 85% done or something, it says it cant fit anymore.

193489 2003-11-21 02:32:00 Once you format a CDRW you only get about 520MB of free space.
But that doesn't explain why a 380MB file won't fit ?:|

193490 2003-11-21 06:50:00 Nah, I wouldnt have a clue. I try and put a 380 mb file on, and it says its full at 287mb.

Wish I could fix it.
