| 193447 | 2003-11-21 07:54:00 | If it is the model I think it is, it has 32 megs of pc 66 sd ram as standard with 16megs onboard and a further 16 megs in the ONE available slot. Standard pc 66 ram doesn't register properly and I tried many brands most causing the comp to lockup on boot (if it booted at all). At the time (2000) I contacted compaq and they listed a compatible 64 meg chip at 3 times the price of standard ram. I trashed the 5 machines we had and recycled the parts since they were not economic to upgrade. The 16 meg chips in them ran perfectly in other comps. Good luck in finding mem that is compatible. |
