2003-11-21 14:27:00 | Yes..shuffling data of various content is true, basically what I do...Still, some people shuffle more data than they possibly could ever examine during a lifetime. If those people would stop hogging the networks, everything would be so much more fun and easy to live with. Belive me, you DONT need every movie possibly ever made locally, go rent it instead..:)

2003-11-21 19:16:00 | So far Ive burnt and used about 9 of the 12 ISO's I downloaded.... :D The thing is, some people are simple heavy users of the internet... If I could, I'd have tons of downloads queued up of the latest downloads etc for my OS, but I cant coz its only my first month on JetStream Starter and Im still worried I'll go over. Am currently at 5.7, with three Internetional ISO's on the download list before the months up... :-( Where would I be without the Debian mirror.... ;-)

2003-11-21 19:27:00 | You need to be careful with the quicksilver usage meter as it can be up to the nearest minute one second, then two days out at other times. Not noticeable unless you really monitoring it i.e yesterday for me I was on for one hour only, d/l about 2Mb of websites, and still shows 0Mb. I have exceeded my limit once while relying on their usage meter, but was not chargrd for it luckily. | wjolly (4894) | |
2003-11-21 19:52:00 | Sorry if people got the immpression I was complaining about the 5 gigs a month. I have checked again and the usage is shown up to the 21st but 18th and 19th still missing. I have been informed to phone jetstream 0800 538638 and will check later this am. Regards Gramps

2003-11-21 20:17:00 | you might want to look into another ISP, as only xtra and the cheap orcon plan have a 5gb limit (inspire.net.nz and the rest are 10, and about the same price) | sanchez (3445) | |
2003-11-21 20:57:00 | Lucky me for a change the usage for those 2 days have not been recorded according to records I used no international those 2 days :) | gramps (881) | |

Yep, orcon does a 15GB limit & I think they might be one or two ISP, which are still doing unlimited traffic . >I thought I read > on the back of some magazine an advert offering 12Gb > d/l per month by an ISP called maxnet (?) or > similar?? As far as I am aware orcon is the only ISP that offers more (15GB) then the rest of the ISP (part from the one or two which have unlimited traffic) |
