If the thought of a breakdown worries you, just replace it, or alternatively never leave it running unattended. The risk is minimal, but any electronic device with high voltages and high energy levels involved can catch fire if particular faults occur, so my monitor is set to go into standby after 10 minutes without computer use and I always turn it off if I am going to be away from my office for any length of time. Reluctant to ditch it as it's still going great, apart from a very occasional dry joint gremlin which disappears with a smack. And it cost me around two grand! cheers Neddy |
