| 194204 | 2003-11-23 19:48:00 | Was on the Beta team. Ran great, nice and fast in comparison to a default Win2K Server install. The setup tools looked rather re-vamped. No support for 16-Bit Ethernet cards meant I had to go out and replace my 2x 3Com Etherlink III cards and 2x SN 2000 Compatibile ones... That sorta sucked, but $80 later I had it all setup and going on my home-network :-) (Dont ask why I actually bought 4x NIC's, I only needed to have one... :p) For a windows system, it was good, stable, but definately not for anything but being a server. I tried updating nVidia drivers which failed, and none of my soundcards worked... Lets just say that if I wasnt a Linux user, Id say it was way better than all its predecessors, with a lot of extra Terminal Server functionality. Hope this helps Chill. *Please note that I havent used it since rc3... around 11 months back* |

The only problem which we had was trying to get Windows 2003 server to network :_| :(, we did Not had much luck getting it to networking and we gave up with it .. Good luck with it, if you do install it. :) Note: I think we where running the Enterprise Edition of Windows Server 2003. |

Works fine in a mixed ( Linux ) and Native ( Windows ) environments. The only downside I have run into so far is with the Domain and Forest Prep you need to do when you put it in a 2000 domain, it seems to break OWA for Exchange 2000, Exchange 2003 works great on it. | Draggy (3005) | ||
| 194207 | 2003-11-26 06:42:00 | my experience was good, but there was two things i didn't like about it, it couldn't play games (but hey it's a server platform) 2. It's Microsoft (I'm a linux Lover Now.) | ilikelinux (1418) | ||
