2003-11-24 06:29:00 | Animated gifs will not run on IE6 or Netscape 7 when online. They work on both Browsers offline, & also work in ACDsee. This is on XP Home & is a new development. Animation, Java etc is all enabled on both Browsers. Any ideas?

2003-11-24 22:04:00 | Do you have ZoneAlarm Pro installed? If so, open the programme, go to the Privacy Tab and click on the custom button. Make sure that the option to block animation is turned OFF. ...

2003-11-25 00:47:00 | The plot deepens! I have Windows ME & XP Home & both refuse to animate the Gifs on line. ME has Zone Alarm & XP has Sygate Pro.

2003-11-25 03:35:00 | Do you have an ad-blocker or pop-up stopper? They sometimes prevent gifs animating. Also, did you restart your browser before trying the animations again after disabling your firewall?

2003-11-25 08:40:00 | The problem is solved. I have been using 'jetstart' with 'slipstream xcellerator' from Slingshot. In effect it compresses the files & increases the speed. On html the speed is up to 256k. Works very well. Animated Giffs only show the first frame. The 'slipstream' works through proxy 'localhost' 5400. 'jetbuster.xcelerator.co.nz Server Port 7000.
