| 194516 | 2003-11-25 07:58:00 | I have installed Fresh Copy of XP on my PC and Installed Service Pack 1a followed by Worn Virus Patch. Now when anyone sends email with attachment and cant open. I have to use forward and then open attachment. For test shake I reload Win XP and Just installed Worn Virsus Patch It work OK. Why not working with Service Pack 1a |

Start OE click on TOOLS | OPTIONS | SECURITY then unselect the radio-button option "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus". Click OK to close your options and then you will be able to open those attachments. However it may be a good idea to normally have the option ticked, and just change it for those emails you want. | 194518 | 2003-11-25 08:07:00 | Microsoft did a "protection" change in Outlook Express (OE). After loading servicepack , open OE and go tools-options-security and untick the box "Do not let attachments be opened....." |
