| 194244 | 2003-11-24 01:33:00 | Hi, Can any one assist in getting my son to operate "That game/chess", since he had to re load it onto a new computer, after his one year old XP computer was stolen - he and I have been playing this game of chess for a long time, and now-- it will download and install- will, open as usual ( as an attachment) - but will not move the pieces on the board. This game can be maneuvered off line- unlike unlike an other method of chess( postcard)- moves can be tried out and/ or finally be sent next time online. Everything is as it was in the old computer a ( 40gb h/d, 2.4 mhz.cpu) but literate as he is, in computing, he cannot get it to work. He has deleted and re downloaded, as always no better results. I play approximately 35 games at a time with about 15 opponents, and none has had this trouble. effie c |

Not sure how he would find out apart from getting Java from the Sun website. Maybe someone else may have something to suggest later. | Fire-and-Ice (3910) | ||
