It seems to me that what seems to be a "collar" around the structure near the top, houses space to dismantle one floor at a time, when that is completed, descending one more level and dismantling that and so on. If that is correct, I can't think why the 3 - 4 floors above the "collar" are there for. Great post, Digby. |

| 1327608 | 2013-02-12 04:34:00 | Glad you liked it. I'm still not sure. At first I though that "collar" was part of the building. But you can see it moving if you look very carefully. But why did they build the collar so elaborately so that it looks like par of the original building. Yes that method must cost much more than explosives etc. but much safer and no clean up and dust etc. |
