1350905	2013-08-16 11:15:00	Well if you installed it uninstall it. PC tools performance toolkit isn't installed is it?Well, that's the point. I see nothing in Programs and Features of that name - or PC Tools performance toolkit. The nearest is "Debugging tools for Windows". Is that it? I don't remember installing it, but I suppose I could have. If I had found it I would have uninstalled it.	Tony (4941)
1350906	2013-08-16 11:17:00	Windows Performance Toolkit is part of Windows ADK and SDK (Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit & Windows Software Development Kit ) Its not a small download/install, the ADK is just over 2.5GB. I have the ADK installed fully on a workshop PC, and that's not using up space on its own, apart from when I work with it, even then its only a few GB in making the deployment tasks.In the quoted bit in my post, the thing taking all the space is that "boot_BASE+CSWITCH_1_km_premerge... " thing, which is an "etl" filetype. The app itself isn't taking up much space.	Tony (4941)
1350907	2013-08-16 11:50:00	Debugging tools for Windows is for reading dump files and fault finding. To have it work you also need files called symbols. Generally you only run them when required, they dont auto run. The boot_BASE+CSWITCH_1_km_premerge according to MS runs on each boot and is part of a performance , and do grow in size. Can you post a list of the programs installed, sometimes its easy to spot that way Have a read of answers.microsoft.com Last post.	wainuitech (129)
1350908	2013-08-16 22:00:00	I read the post you pointed at, but if I try that, it doesn't find xbootmgr. The only reference on my machine is xbootmgr.log which is in the Windows performance toolkit folder. I must have installed at some time in a fit of geekish enthusiasm but I've never used/referred to it AFAIK. I'm not sure what is the best way to post a list of installed programs. I can generate one from SIW, but it is very long and very dense. I was going to attach a PDF, but it seems I'm not allowed.	Tony (4941)
1350909	2013-08-17 00:32:00	To get a program list -- If you have Ccleaner- open that, under Tools / uninstall it will list all the programs - bottom right hand corner is "save to text File" save it someplace, then you can copy/paste its contents back here. :)	wainuitech (129)
