| 1350858 | 2013-08-12 11:06:00 | So it "could" possibly be something in the server causing the problem. As a test are you able to save, copy etc to another networked PC, doesn't matter whose, or where on the LAN/ Domain, just save a file to a different network Computer -- Does the same thing happen or is everything OK ? The object to this test is to see if its the PC (W8) or the Server causing it. If it works OK to another PC ( doesn't need to be a server), then it can be narrowed down to where the problem exists, currently you have 1 of 2 locations as the cause. |

| 1350859 | 2013-08-12 22:59:00 | I will test later tonight when the users are off. I Google "folder redirection corrupting Excel" and found a couple of posts but no answers so it has happened to others but seems rare. I can confirm though it is the redirected folder that the issue occurs in. If I have the files in a standard network shared folder there is no issue so I'm thinking server issue but will check from another PC but no other Win 8 to test from at this site. | berryb (99) | ||
| 1350860 | 2013-08-13 01:28:00 | Went looking and found a few, including one on another forum -- thought, hey this person exact same problem -- Guess who it was :p Anyway, also found this hotfix, no idea if it has any relation to the problem - so use it at your own risk I guess. support.microsoft.com |
