1327916 2013-02-14 00:54:00 Sounds like she did well enough but the teacher didn't approve of her actions in class. I'm not sure that justifies a zero and a drop in grade. Sounds like for once there may be a valid reason to sue. Let the judge decidr, we don't have enough information. dugimodo (138)

1327918 2013-02-17 23:48:00 She acted like a ***** in class and paid the consequences, the law suit will fail even in the stupid USA. prefect (6291)
1327919 2013-02-18 07:52:00 Give it time and it will happen here.

Actually...
Many universities here are beginning to employ something called "Bell Curve Grading".
This means that X number of students MUST to fail, regardless of how well they perform.

This sounds case in particular isn't abnormal, if you have a problem with the grade you get or think you are "targeted", you appeal to it's Academic Board/Student Union or some other authority.

The student will win this case, and the lecturer will lose her job.

Already lost last week. Thode's attorney, Richard Orloski "My client stands alone in the history of Lehigh in getting a zero in class participation,"

1327922 2013-02-19 09:39:00 Uni stuffed our daughter around by arbitrarily cutting a Course, and she ended up having to do an extra 6 months study to graduate Bachelors (delayed by a year). With a little help with tactics and wordings she took on the Uni and they paid financial compensation.

You don't ask, you don't get, but you have to have an arguable case.

Her argument was based on breach of contract, and she went right to the top and put it in person, and on her own.

Made me feel very proud, and no, she was not studying law.

Cheers
