Hollywood has turned into kids movies in the last 10 years and has been producing less than average adult content.
I mainly utilise Aro Video (arovideo.co.nz) for movies of interest, they offer a great selection of international movies (good ones where not everyone dies, america doesn't necessarily flood or burn or gets invaded by english speaking beings from zeta reticuli) a premium service to their customers, fair pricing and relaxed return to base conditions.

Beats the fatso et al hands down. Oh, and did I mention is NZ based run by NZ'ers?

1327450 2013-02-11 03:31:00 Last time I went into United or Video Ezi about 4 years ago they still had new releases. Has that changed now ?
:)

'New Releases' have never really been that new, and while 20 years ago most people wouldn't even have noticed that the latest 'New Release' at their local video store had been out for 6 - 8 weeks overseas already, these days we do. For example, Civic Video list the Skyfall DVD as releasing on March 27th, but the US release for it is Feb 12th. Seen it and forgotten about it before the local retail rental outlets even get it.

1327451 2013-02-11 10:34:00 Perhaps people are up to the back teeth with buying or hiring a disc and then sitting through copyright notices and spam before being able to watch what they selected, and paid, to watch.

The people producing this crud are an arrogant slough of dregs fitted neither to be parking wardens nor politicians. Besides, I don't like their attitude.

1327452 2013-02-11 17:23:00 Yes, there don't seem as many round as there were
They don't seem as busy

How can they make money at the low rentals they charge ?

Didn't Blockbuster in the UK go broke ?
I used to be with Fatso and found it very good, but gave it up due to the cost.

As an older guy I find there are very few new movies I would like to see.
They are all CGA and vampire which I don't like.

And with streaming videos and ufb coming in.....

Also maybe people are watching Sharp and 7 and don't have time for a movie ?
