| 194778 | 2003-11-26 03:29:00 | Hi. I got a problem with a CDROM drive on my parents PC - XP Pro, 1ghz duron, 256mb DDR. Its an Atapi 50x has been working fine the past few years - since we've had it - but over the last few days - it isn't picking up the CD's I put in it. If i put a cd in it - and go to the drive - it says "Please insert a cd into drive" I've tried unistalling it - and reinsatlling it - same thing, I've checked the cords are in right, no luck... Anyone no wots worng? or is it time for a new one? Thanks |

However, if it is a plain ROM drive, then the drivers XP provide should do the trick. | Jen C (20) | ||
