| 194612 | 2003-11-25 21:26:00 | I am running winxp prof sp1 on an amd 2ooo with 1gb ram. Many applications are aborting with a message that memory referenced at a particular location cannot be either read or written. This often occurs when the program is closing, which is not such a problem as no harm seems to be done, however it is also happening when some programs try to load, such as Ulead visual studio 7, or whilst I am rendering video. What is the problem?? |

| 194615 | 2003-11-25 23:55:00 | Try, temporarily, slowing down the memory. If the problem goes away, the the problem will be that the memory is "nearly" fast enough. If it doesn't there could be a bad area/location. Does it consistently report the same address? | Graham L (2) | ||
| 194616 | 2003-11-26 02:56:00 | no the addresses vary considerably. I will try slowing down and let you know. Thankyou. |
