194823 2003-11-28 04:00:00 but office 97 oem on the new pc is not a qualified product based on the fact that the oem was bought with the old pc.
The ACT of putting the 0f97cd rom in the drive AT ALL is termed as "breaking the license" because it sold as part of another PC

194825 2003-11-28 06:10:00 Yes I do check 'press F1' and you shall be taken to a place of total isolation and there subjected to endless reruns of a video entitled 'The wit and humor of Helen Clark' until your mind turns to pulp and all your teeth fall out.

194826 2003-11-28 10:03:00 'The Wit and Humour' of Helen Clark'. I take it that it is a very short video...just like the one of the Australian Rugby Union's trophy cabinet? oggy (1250)
194827 2003-11-29 22:44:00 Here's a thought. I could dump MSOffice altogether and go to OpenOffice courtesy of the last PCWorld cd. Anyone care to share any real world experiences of using OpenOffice as your main suite? oggy (1250)
194828 2003-11-29 22:49:00 its not bad. a few things aren't quite MS compatiable however i havn't tested the new ver so i don't know if thats been fixed or not.

194829 2003-11-30 05:18:00 I had a look at the PC company clearance sale in wellywood today & see they were selling MS OEM software & they didn't appear to require people to buy hardware with it.
Just my 2 ¢ worth.
Cheers steve
