| 194870 | 2003-11-26 08:05:00 | this is just my point of view on this disscussion . . . . . . its about these cheat codes . . . . whenever i go to someones house to play a game, when i start the game they say "ahh . . hold on lemme enabole godmode first" i like WTF ?????? why used god mode for when in the game u have to fight for ur life ??? thats the main goal in most games completed it with the resources givin eg, health weapons,force powers,kungu fu combos etc . there is this guy to says that he is a champ in THPS4 . . . when i asked him wut was his highest score he said approx 900,000 thats almost to a million . to cut the long story short . . . personally i hate cheatcodes it just spoils the fun in the game . i just need an opinion of other people who play computer games !! sorry if u have offended any1 |

I prefer to work on the basis that cheats should be disabled ingame and you work on the resources you've been allocated and in the game settings and so forth. However, there is the exception for the time my friends and I play around with ol' AOE and we have cheats enabled, not for getting godmode or anything, but more that if we're getting severely wasted we can get ourselves more wood or something to get ourselves out of the mess and then after that they don't get used until we're back in the same situation... What's the point of playing a game when you're invincible and you have unlimited resources? |

| 194872 | 2003-11-26 08:19:00 | well their bad for online games but i use them for a few single player games when ive already clocked them, like max payne 2 which is like extremly hard i used cheats once i finished it though . but cheaters suck at online games because it it showing they have no skill or somthing like that . häzz |

| 194873 | 2003-11-26 08:45:00 | they can come in handy for getting around bugs in the game. also for when you cannot no matter how are you try to get through a level, saves trying to find a walkthrough. cheats in online games is just pathetic, only useless morrons use em X-( |

| 194874 | 2003-11-26 09:27:00 | i'm in amiddle of this game half life and i'm totally stuck at one place ...i made up my mind not to use cheat codes in it ........well im stuck for a month now ....i have only 12% of life and i have two bullets in my pistol and a knife .... so ur trying to say there no harm in using cheat codes here ....i don't want to finished the game in a cheap way ........... |

I never used cheats in Half-Life, and I got through it all right (admittedly, I got stuck a few times, and I have this pedantic system of quicksaving all the time and trying to get through areas using the least ammo and losing the least health), without using walkthroughs either. If you feel fine about using cheats, then use them. You can always go back and play the game on a harder setting afterwards. |

| 194877 | 2003-11-26 19:16:00 | I think cheat codes are okay in moderation (like alcohol). My son always go for cheat codes, but mostly so he can see cars he can't unlock and things like that. He loves Simon the Killer Ewok and other cheat features as well, but funnily won't use cheats in BF1942. I don't tend to use them any more, have done for variety and fun (unlimited ammo can be a blast now and again) but never seriously. Wish you could use cheat codes in real life now and again. Perhaps we just aren't in the matrix. robo. |

| 194878 | 2003-11-26 21:42:00 | I use cheat codes: 1) When I'm playing game, and i'm stuck at a point where I can't pass no matter what - and I either give up on playing the game - never play it agian, or use a code to pass the point - and continue to play the game. 2) I have clocked the game, or played it so much that it's no longer fun, I will use cheats - just to make it a little more funner - and playable. Take AoE2 - I played all the campaigns on that - no cheats (i loved that game :D) after i had done that (and purchased the expansion pack) i used to play deathmatch's and that using the cheats - teh cars, photon man etc - just for a bit more fun.. As for online games - I've never played a game over the net - i've tried - but no luck - as I'm on dail up |
