195069 2003-11-27 01:14:00 Does anyone know how to change the icons of programs in Add/Remove Programs? Craig (448)
195070 2003-11-27 02:47:00 Pretty sure you can't because it gets the icon from the program application itself. So, unless you can change the icon of the program ????.exe file you can't change it in Add/Remove programs. CYaBro (73)
195071 2003-11-27 02:51:00 Just wondering as several Windows Updates seem to have adopted the AVG icon. Not a biggy, just curious. Craig (448)
195072 2003-11-27 03:30:00 If you are getting incorrectly displayed icons you might want to download Tweak UI (www.microsoft.com) from the XP Microsoft Powertools collection. This has an option to repair/rebuild icons when Explorer is displaying the wrong icon for that program. These power tools are only to be used on a system running Windows XP. Jen C (20)

I have the same on my pc Craig. I was a bit concerned at first but it doesn't seem to do any harm. I think it might have something to do with not disabling Avg before updating, but I am not sure.

Has anyone else got the same thing?

195075 2003-11-28 05:03:00 got the same problem... all windows update icons have transmogrified into AVG icons. Never seems to have been a problem though.
interestingly enough TweakUi did not fix it.
