| 195724 | 2003-11-29 08:03:00 | I am running Win95 with I.E. 5.5. I try to forward emails from my yahoo address and it says that the TCP/IP settings are not correct. How do I adjust these in Win 95? My ISP is paradise.net any help would be appreciated. Thanks Kredo p.s. My system cannot be upgraded to Win 98 and I cannot afford a newer computer at the moment. p.s.s. Can Win 95 run any version of outlook express? |

| 195725 | 2003-11-29 09:26:00 | First off I'm unable to affirm whether Outlook Express will continue to work on Win 95, but long ago, I had Outlook working on a Win 95 box so at the very least if I could get Outlook to work you should be able to get Outlook Express to work on the same OS. If your trying to use your email application to forward email, via Paradise, via your Yahoo account, to whoever, your most likely discovering that a reason why you may find you can't do this is because Paradise doesn't allow that kind of email forwarding. That means the only way to continue to use your Yahoo account to send mail is to log into the account via a web browser and follow the usual process from there. The good news is, on the other hand, you should be able to log directly into your Yahoo email account, via Paradise, by ensuring that you've created an account in Outlook Express specifically for your Yahoo account. Among other things to fill in you should know that the incoming mail address is: 216.136.173.10 and the outgoing mail address is: 216.136.173.12. Hope this helps. |

| 195726 | 2003-11-29 12:02:00 | Windows 95 can only run up to Outlook Express 5.5 and Internet Explorer 5.5 - that is the highest versions of these you can operate. Are you trying to operate your Yahoo account in Outlook Express? Or via the web-interface? Posting the entire error message would also be helpful. Can you get web-sites on this machine, can Outlook Express receive e-mail, just not send? A Any other info would be good... |
