| 195840 | 2003-11-30 03:10:00 | Since downloading Real Player,it has taken over my icons in my music,how does one get them back to media player? Just in case that is not understood,the icons are sayin real player,whereas b4 they said media player,which I prefer. |

| 195844 | 2003-11-30 07:12:00 | Just go to where your music files are kept, select one by a single left click, then right-click the file whilst holding down the Shift key at the same time. Select "Open With" and then "Choose Program...". From the list select Windows Media Player and also put a tick in the box beside "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file". Then Click OK. If you have several types of media file extensions eg. wav, mp3 you will need to repeat this process for each file type. All your icons should then revert back to WMP's icon. You can also change file associations by going to in Windows Explorer, Tools > Folder Options > File Types. Search through the list for the media files you want to change, and then use the "Opens with: Change" button to select the preferred program. |
